How It Works

1) Let’s chat

Step 1 – reach out!  We’re a friendly bunch and will discuss your special day either by phone, email or video call.  A call or email is often the first step.  You are also welcome to our offices.

2) site analysis

At the enquiry phase we’ll carefully check the venue for room using online aerial photography.  We’ll check airspace and local concerns.  A site visit will be required prior to show day.

3) design

If you’re choosing from our pre-designed displays then we’ll check to see if we need to modify anything for the site.  If you’re having a custom design we’ll begin this with a brainstorming session.

4) show day

We will arrive on site and setup the display without bothering you or your guests.  We will co-ordinate with the venue or your event planner.  Once you’re ready and outside we’ll start the show.

Your Venue

Drone Light Shows require space for the drones to launch from and an area of ground surrounding them in flight that is kept free of people outside at all times during the show.

We are able to fly from a vast range of locations, examples being – fields, car parks, tennis courts, golf courses, gardens & roof tops.

Space required

The space needed depends on the size of the show. We can advise on this and analyse your venue but as a rough guide:

Minimum distances:
Space to set up drones: 15m x 15m
Sterile space for show: 90m x 120m

This area must be kept free of people outside at all times during the actual show. The more space the bigger the canvas in the sky.

We laser scan survey each site during a site visit using state of the art LIDAR technology.

The Show Design – 3 Options

Designing a Drone Show is an extremely complex and time consuming process taking up to several weeks to carefully create the entire flight path for every single drone in the show. Even take off and landing is part of this design.

In order to reduce the cost of wedding drone shows we have designed some displays for you to choose from with optional customisation available. Alternatively we offer a full custom design service where you can define each scene in the sky and choose your favourite song(s).

Pre-designed displays

We’ve crafted a series of stunning shows that take away the cost of animating your display.  These displays allow us to vastly reduce the budget required.

Optional customisation

We can customise the end of one of our pre-designed displays – imagine your initials or the date of your special day as the last scene. Perfect for that unique photograph of you both set to an amazing drone backdrop.

Bespoke custom design displays

We will brainstorm ideas with you, work to your favourite song(s) and tell your story in the sky. You’ll receive visualisations and interaction with our design studio to hand craft your completely unique custom drone light show.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a drone show cost?

The cost of a drone light show depends on the number of drones and the amount of animation. Predesigned packages begin at £3,495. Fully custom shows begin at £15,000.  Contact us though as we run special offers time to time.

How have you made predesigned packages this price?

We have spent the past few years developing a new drone system in-house. We have developed our own training and fleet management systems. We have invested into making the setup as easy as possible and refined all of our processes, systems and infrastructure as much as possible. For the past 2 years our in-house animation team have refined how to best entertain with 20, 30, 50 drones as well as several hundred. Our goal has always been to offer drone shows at a similar price point to firework displays and we’re proud to be the only company in the UK to achieve this.

Can we have drones with lasers, lighting or fireworks?

We have all permissions and licenses required.  To produce drone shows in the UK requires an “Operational Authorisation (OA)” from the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority).  We were first issued an OA in 2015 for filming commercially and in 2020 we obtained an OA for producing drone light shows.  We will contact any local airports where required and deal with any airspace mitigation.  We require permission off the landowner that we take off from (e.g. the venue).

Can we have drones with lasers, lighting or fireworks?

Yes, and we do all of those elements in-house.  Make your display even more special by adding lasers, lighting or even fireworks to compliment the drone element.  We can even assist with filming and photography with our expert media team.

Can we have the show to music?

Absolutely – infact we wouldn’t recommend it any other way! We provide PA for up to 100 people as part of our pricing and if you need larger coverage then this can be provided for a small extra cost.
